Addie is our very big girl who can do what ever Ashley can do, and don’t think otherwise! If Ashley is singing, then Addie’s singing. If Ashley’s dancing, then Addie’s dancing. Addie loves to follow her big sister!
Addie’s had fun in the sun indoors this summer. It’s really been too hot to do much outside. And it’s so hot sitting her car seat that most of the time when we get some where she is red faced and sweaty. Addie takes her cup of water everywhere she goes. And she’s been a few places! She went to see The Little Mermaid. She really enjoyed it and paid close attention to everything on stage. Addie participated 100% at story time playing with the rain sticks, wiggling her sillies out, listening to stories, playing parachute, and doing the craft projects.
Addie loved her first adventure to the circus. She had her own seat, but wasn’t big enough and the chair kept trying to flip up on her. She sat during the entire show with her eyes glued to the show. Her favorite part was the tigers. She keeps talking about the tigers jumping and rolling over. She also really liked the elephants. She had so much fun and was asleep in her car seat within moments of getting in the car to go home.
A few weeks ago Ashley and Addie were playing in the playroom when both Bitty Baby’s needed to sit in the highchair at the same time. Translation: It was time for a trip to the American Girl store! Addie went on her birthday to pick out her Bitty Baby and as soon as we were in the store again Addie was so excited she could not contain herself. Luckily the store wasn’t too busy and both girls had so much fun looking at every single item in the store. It was a really fun time and now we have 2 highchairs for 2 Bitty Babies! That same day we decided to stop by and have lunch with Daddy at work. Addie loved riding in the elevator and drawing with Daddy’s pen.
Addie’s favorite phrase right now is “Guess what Daddy, guess what!” Then you have to say “what?” or she repeats it over and over again. Addie always has something to tell us. At bedtime after books, songs, and kisses Addie gets in her bed and jumps up and down and says “Kiss Mommy! Kiss!” As soon as you lean over to give her a kiss she does it again. She gives a great giggle when you walk all the way across the room to give her another kiss, many times!
Addie has had no problem adjusting to her new school. The very first day she let the Director walk her to her class while Daddy helped Ashley find her room. When Daddy came by to check on her she said, “I play Daddy!” with a huge smile on her face. In the afternoon we asked her what her favorite part of the day was at school. She said, “play outside yellow bike!” Both girls were very excited their school has tricycles and other riding toys outside. Addie’s going to have a very fun year with new friends!
